Frogster Interactive, the guys doing the remake of Speedball 2, have released a cinematic trailer for the game. While you don't see any gameplay, it certainly seems to capture the spirit of the original title. Check it out locally from AusGamers.

Haha that looked f***ing awesome. I hope they keep the game play fairly simple and don't make the camera angles ghey. It'd be good if they developed the team management side of the game heaps more I reckon - that's where I had a lot of fun. They need to set up some system where it can automatically generate a heap of new characters at different stages of the game so you always have options of trading. Being able to get your players to bash people when they are not active would also be cool.

"Speedball 3" was announced a while back as "speedball arena". hasn't been any movement on it for ages so not sure what the status of it is

Quake is very different to Quake 2 or Quake 3.

A speedball 2 remake would be awesome... speedball 3 could be anything it wanted to be and like quake 2 and 3 could be much s***ter then the original.
