There's been a bit of a revival in the Battle.net scene what with that StarCraft II game you mighta heard of.

Back in the day heaps of us used to play Blizzard games on AUS-1. These days there's Bored Aussie, but I hear it lags and its invitation-only now.

Well, Qurus (one of the old admins) has thrown together a pretty spiffy server and it seems that we're off again. Had about 40 people on last night enjoying some GGs of SC, War III etc, hoping to make it a bit of a habit as we push on to that other game's release!

StarCraft is also surprisingly playable once you get past the whole wtf its in 640x480 bit. I suck pretty hard at it but its still fun :)

Also we have a Ladder comp running at the moment that has a hundred bucks cash as first prize, and 50 for runner up. SO if you reckon you're pretty gosu you mimght wanna give that a shot :D

Generally people don't hax on AUS-1.

The ladder is semi-automated through the website. When recording a win on the website you submit a replay.

Map hacking stands out like dog's balls on a replay, as to make unfair use of the hax the player is reacting to s*** they can't see.

screw aus-1, bring back OzDRL for dark reign fark i miss that game
