Activision have announced an all-new Guitar Hero game for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360:

Turning it up to 11, Guitar Hero fans will channel their inner rock god using Gibson Guitar's Les Paul and Kramer models as the industry standard. In addition, players will experience an incredible number of newly added features and explosive content including a new multiplayer action-inspired battle mode, gruelling boss battles, a bevy of exclusive unlockable content and authentic rock venues. Expanded online multiplayer game modes will also allow axe-shredders worldwide to compete head-to-head for true legendary rock status.

Pretty cool tracklist so far. Here's hoping for some more punk / hardcore stuff. Maybe a Black Flag song, or a NOFX song or something. Guitar Hero 2 bored me a bit with the tracklist, just cos of the abundance of slower rock s***, or songs that just plain sucked and were boring. Awesome fun though.

Every Time I Die - The New Black was the best song to play on GH2 hands down I reckon.

I think Hush is my favourite off GH2 so far, I want more like that, groovy funky stuff.

Anyway, Rock Band > GH3

Best song ever put on these games was SRV's Texas Flood.

Never before played GH, picked it up in JB-Hifi... completed that song first go on the hardest difficulty, people were stunned.

The real version is much harder :D

U didnt put in the fact it being release for wii aswell.

Has anyone been able to get the cheats working for Guitar Hero 1 or 2 on PS2? I'm a noob and don't wanna have to try and play thru all the songs on every difficulty so I grabbed an unlock thingy but couldn't get it to work.

just dl the tracks in mp3 format & play them on yur sterio while strumming madly on an old broomstick .. same diff. ;D
