I've got a really strange case today at work, two BB 7290's rebooting and giving random error messages. We're using BES and we've just upgraded to v4.x and we've since been having issues to do with wireless sync policies etc...
The big problem though is these two 7290's I really can't explain it. One of the engineers we have in Sydney suggested that its possibly related to incompatible firmware... I'm tomorrow going to try and downgrade them. Has anyone else ever come across this sort of thing? I'm scared. |

We are looking at a BES + x amount of the Berry's... It can't suck that badly when the world cry's when the RIM goes down.... By the sounds of it, it is a great system to use.

f*** Blackberries. f*** supporting them. And f*** the people who insist on using them. In all my years of support Blackberries are probably the most irritating thing I've had to deal with next to implementing treasury systems like RITS or Exigo :| RIM have announced they will be releasing a virtual Blackberry program that can be enabled on any smart phone as well....hooooooray! |

That REALLY sucks.
Skitza, They are probably the most annoying thing I've found to support so far, they don't have a hard reset feature ffs. I'm fairly sure that if you're using BES, you don't have any link to the RIM servers. |

I'm fairly sure that if you're using BES, you don't have any link to the RIM servers. No, even with BES there's still some dependency on the RIM relay. As for a Hard reset feature, quickest way I've found is to set a password & enter it wrong 10 times. Or to use the Backup/Restore tool in the Desktop Manager, go into the Advanced area & use that to wipe the handset. |
