hey. spot the novice.

need to find the multimedia audio device for a

packard bell imedia m857
s/n 2608677179

i went to packard bell web site. its not listed when trying to narrow the search down.
i tried a few under the general list for "imedia" but no luck.


thanks ahead if someone can grab a link for me.

I didnt do any research but first thing comes to mind is realtek AC97.

id be dropping some ctbios on the mobo to find out chipset and google for that

thanks mate. it worked eventually. had to download a few files seperately as it asked for them during install. was a very rough install but it works as a whole now. that will do. send it back and never look at it again.

This is why I've never bought a name brand pc. They're cool when you have the restore disc with all the drivers but lose that and you're screwed.
