Capcom are going to release a new version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo for PS3 and Xbox 360, with sprites that won't look like crap in HD.
Joystiq article

Here's a pretty slide showing the difference between an original SF2 sprite of Ryu and the new HD sprites:

Anyhow, where's the EX series?

Mmm, thinking about HDifying all those soon-to-be-lush parallax backgrounds, mmmm

I rather enjoyed the EX series also. Stope making rehashes and make a new HD SF altogether ffs!

Skullomania was dope. Tea party raging demon anyone?

They keep remaking Street Fighter II simply because it was the most popular, so it's the most likely to make money.
We'll probably never see another new Street Fighter game simply because arcade machines don't make as much profit these days, and it's doubtful Capcom would make one purely for consoles.

Anyone tried Street Fighter : Anniversary Collection on an XBOX 360? As it isn't on the official Backward Compatibility Games List

Yeah I've got it but on the original xbox. I also bought it for SF III 3rd strike. It comes with SF hyper fighting which is a blend of all the classic SF's into the one game. It's neat but if you're not a hardcore fan of SF the novelty wears off quick. The disc also includes street fighter the animated movie with all of its horrible dubbing. The other thing is it lacks a lot of the old modes. All you can do as a single player is Arcade and practice. Though most of the game's replay value comes from online play and classic versus matches.

I was also disappointed in that they didnt include any of the SF Alpha series, they were awesome, especially Alpha 3. They could've at least included SF3: New Generation and SF3: 2nd impact as well to make it some what of a decent aniversery collection.

Still 3rd Strike is an awesome game, a true sequel to SF2 with very responsive controls, very balanced cast of characters and includes the most fluent 2d animation of any street fighter to date. I couldn't go wrong for $23 sealed and delivered from UK.

That's for the xbox, not sure about the 360 but i'd imagine it'd be pretty much the same.

K Well Sucka, if you ever get the change to try it on an Xbox 360, you know who to tell if it works or not :)

& Does anyone play Guilty Gear's? It's on PC also, it rocks

You'd think they'd release that on Xbox360, rather than revamping the original.... again

Yes i realise that and i had all 3 games on the ps1 but i reckon they should've included it as part of the "aniversery collection" to make as comprehensive as the title sets it out to be, but then again why should capcom not milk mo money out of another capcom collection?

Oh The GuVna i just... downloaded... Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded, and wow so pretty and much more awesome than i thought! A lot more flashier than street fighter that's for sure. So much can happen on screen with no slowdown. It's like a cross between SF/King of Fighters/Soul calibur on roids.

Hehe glad to hear ya like it :) It's quite technical & deep to in what you can do.

Also if you have 3 other mates who play 2d Fighters you might want to Try out Guilty Gear Isuka. Same game but 4 players on Screen rather than 2
