yes, no, statistically no.

Goggles aren't a bad idea, and while I don't want to sound like a pussy, I found my hands got almost painfully cold from the freezing air combined with the wind. But it is hella fun and everyone should do it; you'll have a blast.

I remember wondering - before I got in the plane - if I'd be able to do it, because jumping out of an airplane is a pretty unnatural thing to do. Once I got in the plane, I got a bit nervous - but once we took off and we got above like a thousand feet, I was fine.

I love flying and being up at heights - the view to me is always more interesting and captivating than any fear. So once I was above a certain height, everything just became a little surreal.

It is, of course, entirely possible I was numb with terror.

yeah iv done it

its awesome fun

when i went they gave you a full jump suit thing so it doesnt matter what you wear..

they explained to us how their reserve parachutes work, they have the manual one that they shoot off. if for some reason it fails which it never should, then they have a computer operated one that has an altitude meter thing in it that will automatically go off at 2000feet. its save as hell. the computer chip thing has 0 failures and theyve been using them like 5 or so years.

definitely wear goggles, otherwise you cant like look around and really enjoy it.

my best advice

when youre free falling look OUT to the horizon, not down!

goin up in the plane is a f***ing buzz hey. got like 2thousand feet up and im like "so yeah we must be nearly at the right height" and we were going al lthe way to 14k LOL!

actually i think it would be pretty painless since u would be dying instantly. but then, the parachute could get caught around your neck. now that would be painful.

just remember, if your parachutes fail, aim for a berry bush.

The only way they could know if they have had failures is if they had let it autodeploy regularly.

Also it only takes everything to go wrong once for someone to die. It could be you.

But isn't that part of the fun ? .. The thrill of the danger ?

I went to the one out near Willowbank. Was fantastic. The chute had a bit of trouble opening at first and the guy riding my back had to grab the ropes and yank at them and it eventually unfurled. Last out of the plane, first to land.

on my mate's video you can see me hurtling past him in the background while he's floating gently down.

well that kicked some fkn ass

i went to the one at willowbank, we had a group of 13, and they took us up in turns in their light aircraft 2 at a time. tandem drops. i was more scared on the flight up then actually jumping. was a thrill of a lifetime. about 40-50sec freefall, did some tumbles at the start. man what a relief when u feel the parachute kick in. he let me steer it around a bit, and do some spirals, i wasnt too keen on them tho cos of the big night before hand.

13 of us went, no mishaps kicks ass definitely recommend for everyone.
