Yep I'll second Wellington Point.. I'm sure it was the only place that the oldies could think of to take us when we were kids. Either there or Redcliffe to visit the grandparents.

we often drive out there and have brekky/lunch at the nice cafe there (they didnt even look funny at me when i had a beer with brekky)

Indeed. The grown ups used to take all the kids out there for fish and chips and a day in the park.

Used to love climbing those big tree branches.

Havent been out there is years.
