Bought a Wii on the weekend and hooked it up to my wireless internet account last night. It's only a 512/128, however when updating the Wii it seemed to take ages...

I downloaded the free trial Opera browser and it took 15 - 20 mins.. by my calculations on a 512k downstream connection at full throttle that would be equivalent to 40 - 50Mb..? though I doubt the browser would be that big?

Is there anything I can do / should to to improve this if possible? (ie - POrt Forwarding, etc.)

I was sure to cancel all downloading on my PC at the time to clear up the connection for only the Wii to use.
