I wonder when this beast will come to Aussie shores. Dell's new XPS gaming rig I kinda like the case a lot.

Theres no reason why you couldn't get a Physics card AND dual 8800's, the two aren't mutually exclusive or anything. A physics card will only accelerate games that are written specifically for it though, ie, games written using PhysX. There should be a lot more games coming out now that use PhysX though because its free to use commercially now, which should make it a lot more attractive.

The specs are actually quite disappointing, however the case design is quite strange, would love to see some larger pics.

Apparently, the reason why many developers are steering clear of the PhysicX cards or have yet to make use of them, is because the physics calculations the card can process are set in stone (or silicon) and cannot be modified.

To be honest, I'd prefer Tanaka's rig over the Dell one

I'm with that guy over there. $11k is a lot to spend on a home machine but if it's used for work, say CAD or video editing or something mainly then sure I'd drop that bling in a heartbeat.

The same could be said for someone who spends 11k on a car who just drives it around to enjoy it

To each their own
