Hey, Im going to london on the 29th, wondering what i should get to keep myself entertained while travelling around. Got 500 to spend as a christmas present.

ipod is probably the best bet, ud get the post use out of it. and u can still take in the sites etc while using it.

I still can't get into watching videos on an ipod. I guess I'm some kind of elitist screen snob, cos I find the Ipod screen way too tiny and crappy to watch videos on.

It's beter than nothing when you're on long boring trips.

Yeah, I've got a 30gb ipod and it lasts about 2 hours, which is all I need for work and back.

I only watch T.V. Episodes on it.

its best to just buy it already modded off ebay they usually come with a stack of games and stuff but its easy to do the mod yourself its just a bios flash. tonnes and tonnes of info on the net just have a google

no they cant but you have to manually upgrade to the newest firmware so just dont do it heh

I have an Ipaq running Windows Mobile which, while it has a small screen, is OK for watching shows on. Battery life is always the big one though; I can prolly watch about 1.5 hours. I used it when I was travelling for reading ebooks on though; it is surprisingly good for that.

How much actual downtime are you going to have in London? If you're not travelling around heaps you won't really have a lot of time to watch stuff. I'd definitely invest in an ipod for listening to music.
