I'm at work and my Wii is in Noosa but the beta of the browser was just released for free. Full version coming in March (also free).

If you do not download it before June 07 it will cost a one off 500 Wii Points ($7.50).

It is Flash enabled so should be able to view youtube content etc. A browser on console is sort of redundant, but I guess it would be okay for quickly checking things while on the lounge.

Also wiicade.com for mouse compatible flash games. promoted forum item

when you click on a text area (like this reply box) it switches to a keyboard on the screen. you then point and shoot the keys with the wiimote, it also has predictive text.

you need to download it from the wii shop (trial is free).

yay 4 spamming qgl from the comfort of my lounge.

Surely you could connect a wireless (or regular) keyboard to one of the USB ports, couldn't you? :(

seems pretty nice :)

one thing I'm still trying to figure out
how do you tell a form to post if theres no button, adding a return into the field doesn't do the same as hitting enter to post like you'd normally do

For anyone thats interested in turning their Wii into somewhat of a media center
http://orb.com seems like a fairly decent solution.

Just streams all the content across through flash. Can do audio/video/images/documents
:)

Seems fairly nice

you run that application on the PC thats going to be streaming the audio/video
and it presents it as a flash based web interface which you can then browse to using the opera browser :)

not to sound like a jerk but wouldn't it be easier to just run a cable from the video/audio out of your PC to the tv rather than having your pc on, streaming media through some flash thing across to a console, then out to your tv? Or one of those wireless A/V senders if your pc is in another room

It would be, but I'm too lazy to move the PC down to the where the TV is
:)

Just thought I'd throw the link up in case anyone else was that lazy :)
