it did but it was only a port so it didn't look too crash hot, this appears to be a total rebuild of the game so they'll be able to use all of the source engines funky features and get it looking very pretty.

there needs to be more co-op games like duke 3d and q1.

This has been in production since the source engine was released. I swear this is where I read about it too.

wouldn't valve put a stop to this?

Is it just me or does there seem to be a really cool hl engine mod announced every few months, and then you never hear about it or see it played ever again ...
