I was just looking around on IMDB.com and came across this little trailer >>Clicky<< .
I thought this was pretty retarded. Has anybody read the book? Not only does it look like they completely bitchered it to make the movie more marketable and ride on Narnia's coat tails, but I wonder how they'll deal with the ending. It's pretty tragic. Spoiler below, look away if you must. ***Spoiler*** The little girl dies, boy's childhood is kinda over since he can't return to Terabithia since it was imaginary etc. Seems like a very strange book to turn into a Disney movie :/ |

Wow, I read this book in one sitting almost 10 years ago. I don't remember much of the story but do remember balling my eyes out at the end. With a movie coming out it might be time for a reread.

I don't think it was a movie all on it's own, I think it was like a short intro movie on another DVD. Like when they used to put loony tunes cartoons at the start of some movies. Why they did that I don't know. I'm not 100% sure it's even by disney now :( The one I saw was about 6 minutes long.

Looking for Alabrandi *shudder* Have u read "A Man For All Seasons"? (by Robert Bolt I think). Awesome book, really well written - think you would like it. Note: It's a book about Thomas More (so it's based on fact), but it's storyline is basic to human psychology (the main theme throughout the book is "every man has his price") and that's what makes it interesting imo. |
