Day Break
Detective Brett Hopper is having a really bad day, accused of killing Asst. DA Alberto Garza. He has an alibi, but no one believes him. When he realizes that he has been framed, he tries to run away but has to stop when he learns that his loved ones are also in danger. But one morning, he wakes up and relives the same day over and over again. To stop this cycle, solve the mystery and have a normal life, he must find out who framed him. Has anyone watched any eps of this because it sounds like it might be a pretty cool show. Sorta like an action version of Groundhog Day and. There's a video over on tv.com with some behind the scenes stuff if you wanna find out a bit more and so far there's been three eps aired. |

I've seen the first couple of eps. It's ok, but kinda vanilla.

I have to say *both* Daybreak & Dexter rawk. I can see why some might think Daybreak is a rip-off of Groundhog Day and so did I until I watched it. But unlike the movie where Bill Murray could kill himself and wake up fine the next day, Brett Hopper still has his gunshot wound etc. Pretty sure that if he dies he stays dead. Cool show and I especially like all the different permutations with the baddies...
Dexter is kinda a sick show. It's weird gunning for a (albeit good) serial killer. Shows what kind of wacky s*** cops could do if they tried. Most of the characters are pro, like the black detective who 'has it in' for Dexter. |

I've watched episode 1. It seemed good enough to warrant watching episode 2, but i'm drowning in TV at the moment so haven't got around to watching ep2+. I liked the way he's risking his life rather than GHD's invulnerability. It may be one show i'll just hold on to till the December break starts and catch up with then (same with Heroes).
It's firmly on my "try more of" list. |
