In partnership with Game1, GotGames - Australia's premier eSports community are proud to announce a 200 person LAN event that will have $10000 prize money and prizes.

For those who don't know, a LAN (Local Area Network) is a network for communications between a varied number of computers. In our case we're aiming at having 200 users setup their own PC's over a LAN network for 36 hours straight of intense gaming competition and social gaming. Yes, this event is BYOC (bring your own computer) and members will have to cater for their own transport to and from the event traveling with their PC's.

The event will commence on the 2nd of December and will wrap up on the 3rd, and up to 40,000 people will be attending over the two days, as the event is running right next to AutoSalon, one of the biggest if not the largest car shows in all of Australia!

Entry fee for the LAN event is $25, which will also grant you full entry into the entire show room allowing you access to AutoSalon, Game1, Indoor Beach Volleyball, DDR competition, Xbox competition as well as the opportunity to participate in whichever event you wish to compete in.

The event has 100 seats reserved for a Counter-Strike: Source competition with a minimum prize money of $5000 for first prize. There also will be a COD2 competition and a DOTA Warcraft 3 Defence of the Ancients competition as well a DOD Source competition.

The COD2 competition will have a minimum of $1000 prizemoney and is expected to bring the best COD2 gamers in Australia to Attend.

Gamestah the best shoutcasters in Australia are being flown down and will be calling the games at the event. We proud to announce that EJ and Bob will be there and I for one cant wait to hear them call as they are not only funny as, they know their games and know how to get a crowd into the game.

You have to put a deposit down of $50 for a 5 player team and pay the rest $75 on the day for a 5 man team.

You can also register as a single player, if your looking for a team, post in the forums as some teams are looking for players.
