I've finalised my entries in this nation wide music comp - the same competition that discovered and launched Missy Higgins career. I would prefer to put up some more rocky songs but I don't have good enough recordings and they take too long to upload so I'm sticking with these:D

Update: Well all my songs have made it into the top 100 songs overall!!!! I am so stoked by this so thanks to everyone for the support!!!! Hopefully this will mean I will get a bit more notice and maybe even some air time on the J's. Now's definitely the time for me to start playing gigs around town so I'll let y'all know when I get some.

isn't that logical, given that without a login there's no way of getting close to even a remotely accurate count of valid votes/ratings? anonymous votes can just be spammed by a script, or even as simple as by a user sitting there reloading the browser page over and over

The person who gets the most votes doesn't necessarily win - the winners are still chosen by Triple J AFAIK. Getting in to the top 100 is more than about winning the comp: it gets you noticed by the Triple J hosts and gives you radio time and a massive audience accross Australia. I'm about to start trying to get originals gigs so I need all the help I can get!!!

I just had a listen Billy - very nice tracks, I'll be putting my votes in.

Although I had to keep minimizing my browser when anyone walked passed.. the shirtless pic might cause tongues to wag at the water cooler.

Yeh I'm not a fan of the pic but I couldn't be f***ed getting photos taken of me just for the comp, and my g/f picked that one so I thought it must be Ok:p
