This is what happens when scientists decide to perform water experiments on the International Space Station.

very interesting stuff! :D i've wondered if you were floating unattached to any surfaces in low/zero g & something propelled a blob of water at you if it would envelope you & drown you. :P
infi: do you mean apart from the obvious physics experimentation in low g?

Zero gravity is the last place I want to visit =)

You got to remember a lot of the greatest accomplishments have been made by chance.

The guy is a physicist I assume? Perhaps in some way this could impact further study to achieve a worthwhile goal.

Awesome vid.

Science is made by someone asking "I wonder what happens if I do [something]". This is a something moment.

I dunno man - the first chance I get to tap the Mrs in zero-g I'm gonna grab it ;)

I'll only be impressed when they have floating cubes of water.

what the f*** has this got to do with anything that 99.999999999999% of people on planet earth have to deal with in their life times?

Experiments are only beneficial and worth doing if they are applicable to 99.9999999999999% of people.

having a sense of purpose & the satisfaction of a job well done.

the effects of new physics knowledge gained from these experiments might be difficult to foresee or predict... especially for a small brained peon like yourself. :D

I suppose the first experiment where they observe the wave action on the sphere after creating an 'impact' on one side...might give some insight to a race of beings who pretty much live on a sphere of water sitting in space? The wave action that might result on said sphere if some big arse object were to crash into it? maybe..

but if we are all really just pieces of dust, why does a space water bubble even matter. i might be going emo
