Tonga

They all have one. The Tongans, Fijians Samoans etc. Its funny how New Zealand is the only 'island' nation who takes pride in theirs, and they have the biggest culture gap of them all.

The one RWC match I went to last time was like Samoa vs Tonga or something - they both did their hakas at the same time at each other. It was f***ing hardcore awesome, just like that video - the crowd just went absolutely nuts.

Do a full search on the haka on google video etc and have a look at some of them...

It's so funny watching skinny white people do the Haka.

When my mates footy team back in HS went over to NZ for like 2 weeks, he said all the other players were twice the size of them... but then they do the haka and they s*** themselves.

I like the angry neck cut haka way more than the 'lame' one they do to be nice. The throat-cut one is full on :) Both are really cool though.

I think its a pretty nice way to acknowledge the maori culture in new zealand and their contribution to what is originally a 'white mans' game. The other island nations have even more reason to do it than NZ theoretically. Australia could probably learn something from NZ in that area, even though the white occuption of NZ hurt maoris alot as well... obviously no where near as much as we hammered the aboriginals though.

I think i was working that event..and also the nz vs samoa, both times the teams did their thing you could feel it anywhere in the venue..best thing to see/hear.
