Im without foxtel atm and really want to watch the Liverpool vs Blackburn game on Saturday night, anyone know somewhere decent that they definately show the games? The Chalk shows them occasionally but its just too packed to be able to sit down and have a few brews and actually enjoy the game.

pig n whistle will definately show it. O'malleys seems to show plenty of premier league games as well but usually only on the smaller screens.

Pretty sure Pig and Whistle at Indro shows them and now that it's no smoking it actually doesn't suck terribly to be in there.

A word of warning - the Prince Albert at the Casino (gold coast) often play NRL/AFL over Premier League games (even the biggies) even though are a fricken english pub. Went off during the world cup, though.

Lunch, I work (slave) at the Riverside PignWhistle. We are the official Liverpool supporters' venue (apparently). Liverpool v Blackburn game is on at midnite Saturday nite/Sunday morning. So if you want some atmosphere and a ceiling (unlike the Queen St Piggy) come watch it at 123 Eagle St for the win! It'll be shown inside on the big screen and there should be about 50+ Liverpuddlians and three random Blackburn bums cowering in the corner meekly anticipating a goal. You can beat 'em up if they manage to somehow win. If you come by be sociable and say hi to me (Dave the Barman).
