Is anyone here interested in work experience with a high profile law firm in the city working within the IT support department? If so read on.

We're looking for....

Someone that is 18+ (so not in high school).
Interested in getting into the IT industry - within the support/networking area.

I'm flexible when it comes to hours worked, days in the office etc etc - that would probably be something discussed at an interview. This is NOT a paid position and is totally voluntary.

So if you're interested then shoot me an E-mail with your resume and a brief cover letter on what you're doing at the moment, and what you're looking for in the position. The cover letter is probably more important than your resume.... If you know of someone that might be interested then feel free to let them know.

i'm not sure but why would anyone out of school want to do unpaid work experience?

Perhaps people that are having problems getting into the industry - and want some experience first to help them get their foot into the door.

Also there are other perks working for a law firm as well...usually they involve food/booze.

If it doesn't interest you, I'm not going to convince you.

i am slightly interested and am currently a 2nd year IT student at QUT but the uni teaches me nothing. Are you looking for a fully capable computer geek or will you put up with noobs?

Alize - I would expect you to know more than your average person with computers. You should be an advanced user as far as Windows/office goes. That being said, I wouldn't expect you to know much about anything else (Active Directory, Exchange, etc etc).

If you knew too much it would be boring, if you didn't know anything I would pull my hair out. Best thing to do is to shoot me an E-Mail if you're interested.

Out of interest, what did you expect to be taught before you applied and what is qut teaching you?

only why computers are in, in your situation because you have enough car doors and enough space to hall around 33" crt monitors in the back.
