That's nothing, moving our dependancy to another liquid which most countries are running out of isn't going to solve any problems! That's why I've been developing a new technology called "Feel Good" that I devised when listening to Gorillaz a while ago. It uses the power of happy thoughts that will never run out so long as there is at least one human male with a healthy right hand. At first I used my patented new technology to pick up lots of girls but then I had a brain wave.. I SHOULD USE IT TO MAKE PETROL/FEEL GOOD HYBRIDS!

Anyway, I think my days might be numbered.. cutting into the water/petrol globacorps.

Man, if only we had oceans of the stuff. I’m pretty sure that cars would work just fine on desalinated water.

desalinating water would cost more than refining oil though wouldn't it?

I love how everyone's assuming this is possible and isn't just a giant investor scam just because it was on fox news. It's pretty old (2004?), and the fact that we haven't been hearing about this at all since it was made public is proof it's a load of s***. It's world-changing stuff, yet it faded into obscurity.

OF COURSE MAYBE IT WAS THE GAS COMPANIES SHUTTING HIM UP OH s*** WHERES MY TINFOIL HAT WHEN I NEED IT

Oh nothing, just that in that thread you said everybody was stupid and knew nothing and you were god almighty correct.
Then you come into this thread and say.

this is real guys! he makes hydrogen out of a specially designed electrolisis prosess that yeilds 200% efficiency. or something.

And it's just even funnier if this is false too.

Do you realise how stupid this comment is? The by-product of using water instead of oil is *drum roll* "WATER". Wow! We put water in; then we get water out in the end. Sounds to me like a never ending renewable power source!

Well I did do high school chemistry and also chemistry at Uni and based on the calculations (that I don't have enough room here to jot down!) I've worked out that this is actually possible, BUT YOU NEED MORE THAN 30 FRAMES PER SECOND which is why no one's ever actually managed to do it before.

The oil business is the biggest corporate entity in the world. Even if something like this did work, its not inconceivable that some of the more shadey elements would want to stop it.

I base my view on human greed, which less face it, is what makes the world go round.

Seems pretty logical to me.

nah. conservation of the angular momentum of the original collapsed spinning solar nebula into a protostellar accretion disk is what makes the world go round. greed or caring have very little effect on this mechanism.

Anyone got the site where it talks about how much energy was used to convert the water to hydrogen.

Seriously?

The very last thing the world needs is something in common use that actually consumes water (or breaks it down enough that it won't rain down on us again). It's easily our most precious resource.

Well from what I understand with using water as a fuel sorce, the water is broken down into the component parts Hydrogen and Oxygen, then those parts are used to make a big boom, or can be injected into a fuel mix at key moments greatly increasing the efficiancy of the burn.

Hydrogen and Oxygen as a gas never exist as one stable atom, they are both highly reactive, so they will happily sit with each other so that you have, H2 and O2, both greenhouse gases btw.

I think in a perfect, clean burn. The hydrogen and oxygen forms H20, however we never have a perfect, clean burn. So not all H's and O's are converted to water, some escape as H2 and O2. When mixing the split water with other fuels even more molecule variants will be formed.

That is how I understand it anyway, it may be a bit wrong :D

Through press releases, videos and "leveraging synergies".
