Old, but good to review from time to time. Apparently this guy is the best fighter in the world:

They've disallowed a lot of things in the tournament, so although it's not completely accurate (as many martial arts out there have extremely deadly moves), it's the closest we can get to see what two trained warriors would look like in combat.

Fedor, from memory, combines Judo, Wrestling, Kick Boxing and some other styles ... anyone with a bit of a clue should be able to see the different influences pretty easily. Seems sloppy in many instances, but this is how fights are when they're not done by Jacky Chan or Jet Li.

Also, I don't condone fighting, however, it's good to get a bit of know-how on what one can do if the unfortunate event arises of yuor bashd @ nxt qgl.

Back on topic, he practices Combat Sambo. It is a very good form of martial art and he is the Pride Heavyweight champion. The man is a living legend in the fight world, a very rare talent. Watch his fight against Mirko Crocop if you want to see how smart and dangerous fighter this man is.

his brother is a fair bit of chop aswell.. Cro-cop walked out on pride so i guess we won't see a rematch, worst bit was he was due to go against vandalay silva in the final 4 of the openweight tournemant which would have kicked ass... his gripe was he'd have to fight again to win the title, which i spose was a legitimate gripe but he only said the money wasn't enough for 2 fights, not that he couldn't fight twice :p

/MONSTER EDIT
Oh motherf***ing edit, HES IN.. OMFG OMFG OMFG.. Silva vs cro-cop.. holy s*** f***.. i must get this pay perview however possible... wowowowow

In terms of just out right scary, Igor Vovchanchyn takes the cake. He hit people like I have never seen people get hit. Bas is a legend, he should not have come back though. Mirko V Silva will be a awesome fight I cannot wait to see it. The first time was under dodgy rules designed to help Mirko, this time it is standard Pride rules which are the best in the world.

watched a couple prides and a couple UFCs and I gotta say, pride is much more entertaining. I dunno why that is, they are both MMA theoretically... I guess the japanese just do some things better.

edit: and yeah, even share some fighters bouncing around between them. I definately dislike the stupid fanfare of the UFC and the whole octogon s***. I like the more traditional boxing format of pride.
