We went down for some time (maybe an hour). Switched to UPS then generator for a bit. Still unsure of what has happened though...

At Milton our lights flcikered and some computers turned off.

Our network admin was on phone to Bundaburg and they got it at same time as well as my friend down Gold Coast.

So pretty big hiccup.

Swamp gas.... You didn't see nothing.... and if you did, it was a hot air balloon reflecting of the light of mars.... right?

My fillings held my jaw shut for about 2 seconds, pretty sure it was because of some electro magnetic disturbance, but maybe i just didn't open my mouth at that point in time for some completely unrelated reason. I dunno, you tell me.

One of my clients at Bulimba lost power as well, we weren't sure what was going on...

Their ups didn't kick in either, which was strange.

i used a series of granulated framastatic polarised light beams to pierce the magnetic barrier. also our power quality meters detected various sags n swells but i didn't check the details in the logs coz it's boring innit.

nothing in the NEMMCO Market Notices either, so was probably a low voltage thing, eg. a trip on a line or transformer, after which the automatic protection mechanisms would have come online to restore frequency and voltage.

Was in centerlink in das valley ~12pm and the lights flickered. I just figured all the people in there were becoming a drain on the power as well as society.

i noticed the lights flicker here at work too (adelaide st, city), but not enough drop for UPSes to kick in.

however atleast once a week i get an email saying that the power has failed, and it's always around the same time (between 5 & 6 am)..

Call 13 62 62 and report this. Apparently the lady hadn't received any calls about this.

If they don't know it is broken, they can't fix it

Maybe it's a million alarm clocks, toasters and kettles ticking on all over Brisbane? *shrug*
