...f***ing rocked out! Awesome live show. It'll be great when they have another album and have a few more songs to pick from, but they basically played their whole album (I think) + Love Train. Great stuff.

Anyone else go and get some photos? I forgot my camera :(

The only lame thing was seeing all the jerks that throw stuff up on the stage. It is only cool to do that if you are a smoking hot biddy and you're throwing your underwear. Otherwise, you're a jerkass.

As far as I can think they played the entire album as well as a few extra jams. Joker and the Thief was my pick of the show and that dude rocks out more than any stage keyboarder I've seen before.

I was going to post a thread about this the other day, I saw them in Sydney on Thursday night.

They didn't 'blow my mind' however they rocked hard, in my mind it wasn't lound enough - my ears wern't ringing afterwards...

Tell ya what got me was how they could reproduce their 'studio' sound live, that was awesome, the songs sounded the same, the effects and everything.

Great show :)

Well that can't come as a huge suprise. Zeppelin were one of the greatest rock bands ever formed. Immitating their sytle isn't likely to yield a hip new sound.

That said I own the album, and like dan said, give me all the rhodes in the world baby.

That's what I mean, comparing any band to Zeppelin won't end well for the other band no matter how awesome they are.

I agree. They're one of those bands that are "cool to like" but are actually s***.

And they even admit to trying to be like led zeppelin. I have a mate in the industry in Melbourne and he spoke to the lead singer years ago and he openly admitted he was just trying to be robert plant and didn't care.

That's my view. Don't have a tanty, groupies.

s***? They write awesome rock music and are amazing musicians... you might not like it, but that doesn't mean they are s***:p

I personally don't give a flying f*** what anyone else thinks is good music and like these guys music even though i can draw many similarities to things they have ripped from other musicians including the doors, black sabbath and Yes.

The real question is where do they go from here now that they have become recognised? will they continue to emulate the great 70's bands or will they form their own sound?

Yeah, I see more similarities to the Doors than Zeppelin in what I've heard.

They obviously sound similar to other bands but what's important is that they have some great epic rock songs that don't turn into laughfests. I hope they don't go Jet-styles and go from the new Aussie 'it' band replicating classic rock to being overplayed and annoying etc. I did want to go to this but sometimes you have to choose what's more important in life. So I'll be seeing the Arctic Monkeys in two weeks. Anyone else?

And the awesome thing about both bands is that their albums aren't tweaked to buggery so they're the same live as on the album.
