as near as we can tell they draw their energy from subspace in much the same way as the gate technology.

I saw some docco on tv once about he supposedly created some hugeass tesla coils and blew up tunguska or some part of it or something remotely. If all of this is true, and this dude was alive today he'd surely destroy us all.

everyone knows zero point energy is like an anti-gravity beam that was invented by that annoying kid in the incredibles. it's good for freezing super-heroes mid flight & throwing them round the joint, but i can't see how you'd use it to power an electric engine.
