just picked this up yesturday, been playing quit abit. its your usual mech kind of game, you play through single player to collect parts to build your own mech then take it all online.

the online play is spose to be something epic but i call bulls***.

the difference between this mech game and any other mech game is spose to be the use of classes, such as snipers scouts and so forth. the single player side is broken down into a story line for each class consiting in a world using todays timeline except the worlds gone to s*** and every country fights each other with mechs.

im slightly disapointed as ive played straight through the solider storyline and still dont have enough uber parts to make a decent enough mech that i think is worthy of online play.

all round that its fairly good mech game, its 3rd person and there is a first person view point in the right hand corner, and it will switch to 3rd person if you flip into first person as your main mode, sort of like picture in picture.

the missions can get confusing and the storyline can get hard to follow. i havent yet experienced multiplayer but i dont expect much seeing as xboxlive is mainly full of groupies that play cs- style games such as G.R.A.W.

the graphics look crisp, still dont use the xbox360's full potential but there are still plenty of awwww moments when the sun is comming down over a desert landscape.

the ai is pretty stock standard, they mainly just fire at you if they see you or you hit them. but for a mech game you cant expect much more.

if there was one thing they could of done to it is make the person inside the mech have more of personality, with your team mates adn commander all just being voice overs with shots of there mech, a little picture of what they look like talking while controlling there mech would be a much better touch.

anyway i give it 7/10. its worth the buy, but it probably wont make you wet yourself unless big robots fighting other big robots is your dream cakes.

Personally I thought it sucked dick. Everything felt clunky, the graphics really didn't look anywhere near as good as the early trailers made out and it all moves so slowwww. Maybe it's not just my type of game, but I did used to enjoy mech 2 and mercs and even a bit of mech 4.

I played the demo and didn't like it at all.

I have just bought GRAW without having ever played it. Hopefully I like it :P

g.r.a.w rocks, has a pretty lame ending but some very intense action.

Why do I always hear about people buying xbox360 games and not liking them? It's not like xbox360 owners are prone to making impulse purchases based on face value and trend rather than substance or anything

You're right, how can I expected to live without such timeless classics as College Hoops 2006, Fifa 2006, Major League Baseball 2006, Moto GP 2006 and NCAA Football 07? Not to mention the AA titles that simply aren't available without Microsoft's true next generation console technology, like Prey, BFME2, Bejewelled 2, Hitman Blood Money, X-Men, Tomb Raider Legend, Oblivion, GRAW, Burnout Revenge, Dynasty Warriors 5, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Blazing Angels, Farcry Instincts and Final Fantasy XI? If only I early adopted the Xbox 360!

Capcom's upcoming exclusive titles may save it in the meantime, and maybe Team Ninja will continue to develop for the 360 (though the only reason ninja gaiden was on the xbox was because it was the superior hardware at the time). The xbox was much the same for lack of exclusive titles though, so either Microsoft will smarten up and start charming developers into exclusivity like Sony or they'll continue down the same path and make a f***load of money anyway.

Edit: Also 99 nights

all i know is that when i installed prey on my pc i had to tweak it to get it to run at a decent fps constantly and to also make it look lush enough at teh same time, *and my hardware isnt that outdated* but with my xbox i just chucked the cd in and it looked great and ran solidly, however the controsl that particular fps on a console is f***ing gaybars, i have no control when flipping upside down an so forth, however im pretty useless with a mouse aswell so either way.

ps for the record i prefer playing prey on the pc even if it doesnt look as great or run as smoothly.

Table tennis haha, i mean why would you even bother with a game like that when you can just pick up a bat play the real thing?

Also Burnout Revenge singal player rox oh so hard. Few more events to go then going back to get gold on every single one.
