hi, i've had this working in the past but now it won't work for some stupid reason.

basically nokia pc suite won't detect that i have a bluetooth device. doesn't even see (bluetooth option) under connection manager.

How do i get it to show? i have gotten it on there before, just can't remember how.

thanks donkey f***ers.

Yeah its f***ing dodgy as, I use it sometimes, I find that often I will need to remove (mines usb) the bluetooth controller, reboot the pc, then try it again to get it to work

Prolly not so much the software man but the phone's hardware itself. I simply cannot connect to my phone anymore via bluetooth nor can I do so by a direct physical link. Methinks the internals just haven't survived one drop too many. Spewing actually cause I just spent $50 on a seperate bluetooth usb adapter thinking that it was the Logitech MX 1000's base station (which I was previously connecting through hassle free) that was just being a gronk. Still no joy an I feel ripped.

What would be nice if you could download some diagnostic software onto these phones an check for yourself whether the internal device was munted or not instead of throwing cash a dead device trying to connect to it.

I think he was saying the dongle isn't detected, with no reference to the phone.

I could very well be wrong in my interpretation so feel free to correct me.

i prefer to buy them from any shop in a shopping centre, (the bigger the chain the cheaper they are usually because they would be able to buy them in volume). i got the nokia one for which is a reasonable price.

when it inevitably f***s up at least there will be someone to take it back to without paying postage etc.

BigZub, do you have your phone's Bluetooth option switched to "activate"?

Iv always had to pair the device within windows first, then the PC Suite would work. Also, make sure that version of PC suite works with your phone.

The software is ass... but why don't you have to switch your phone on bluetooth mode?

Also, when I connect mine via a cable, I have to tell the phone which mode I want to connect with, and only then does the PC recognise it.
