I can see him who do you trust? some "person" that may or may not have existed billions of years ago and created everything, foretold by a book that came from some random guy looking for something to pacify the masses, or the scientist I can see standing right before me? I've got the answer right here whackos, come get it *grabs crotch* |

wooo drunken religous post
ok, disclaimers aside.. I belive that all true religions are right. So Christains, Muslims, Hindu, Krishna's, Buddhists and all that jazz, they are all correct. I belive that every 100 years or so a major prophet comes around and tells the masses, of that time, how it is. 1000 years ago people viewed the world so differantly from us, the message of God is going to be differnt from now. Take the Old Testimate of the Christain Bible for example. It says that you should not wear cloths made of WOOL. WHAT THE f***? Why not? Maybe 2000 years ago wearing wool introduced various virus or disease, not good for the people at the time. It is easier just to tell the people not to wear it then explaine why... Anyway that is kinda what I belive. I belive that we are all at the stage were religion is a personal thing. If whatever someone tells you dosnt agree to your own common sense, then don't listen to it. If you can think about it and it seems to sit well with you, agree with it. I doubt that an allmighty God would punish people for trying their best to be good people... |

what always confuses me is if god knows everything why are we waiting to be judged? he knows so why arent we in hell already? wats the point of this whole exsistance if he already knows whats going to happen and everything is already 'written'
that never quite made sence to me.. last edited by TufNuT at 23:29:02 26/Jun/06 |

who wrote the bible? This is stupid. Do you want me to list all the religions that believe in a god and have a holy book? Also, the Bible is riddled with contridictions when comparing it to science, and it also contridicts itself everynow and then. Saying the Bible = religion is wrong. Saying that Religion does not agree with science is also wrong. The Bible may not but other Holy books do. I dont agree with the logic that is quoted in the original post but... Can you see the wind? No only it brushing your hairs or it moving branches. The frequency that the human ear can detect ranges between roughly 20 Hz - 20 kHz. So does that mean sound outside of that range do not exist? No. When you put a pen in a cup of water, the pen looks bent, however you know your eyes are playing tricks on you and that the pen is not bent but the light is refracted/reflected. My point is, if youre trying to use your 5 senses to try and prove that god does not exist then its pointless. Because like I have discribe above, your senses are not perfect, far from it actually. Also, just because something has not been proven to exist, it does not mean that it does exist. edit: I belive that all true religions are right. What is a true religion? last edited by Greazy at 23:32:16 26/Jun/06 |

hehehe >:D
When I saw all true religions, I spose I am being biased an all.. Religions that are accepted by the masses is what I'm getting at, I think. So your random 100 person cult, well that may not be. However it may be, we dont know.. Is it not possible that all these religions are various differnt paths to the same goal? not all people are the same, not even close. I belive that not all religions can satisfy all people. Most of the religions that I mention, if not all, teach to respect other religions, dont to attack them. They all teach similar core belives. Usually to treat your naighbour as you would like to be treated, not to hurt others, not to steal and so on. Things that just seem 'right' if you deeply think about it. I belive that anyone who throws themselves whole heartedly at a religion should be respected. Every single religion and philosphy I've read seems very hard to follow correctly. No human is perfact, so if someone tries to perfect themselves to the religion they follow, all power to them, it is a very difficult task, no matter the religion. |

Personally, I think that 99.9% religions have it wrong
Communion with the higher power /life force Whether your comfort in believing in a higher power stems from: Buddist (eastern etc an so on for the other mentioned an ommitted beliefs), Pagan, Jew, Muslim or Christian etc the reality is that some wanker has corrupted the true origin of these concepts and suited it to there own purpose Just be the best person you can be an help others where an when you can. Pay it forward |
