I'm taking the family down to the snow in a month or so. Really looking forward to it. We've been buying up on Ebay but still needs snow boots, maybe jackets, and gloves. Anyone know a good place to get new or near new gear in Bris? |

It's funny you ask.
My friend just randomly told me Kathmandu is having a 50% off thing tomorrow apparently. http://www.kathmandu.com.au/ Call to confirm I guess. last edited by parabol at 22:55:03 22/Jun/06 |

Theres a place on Fairfield Rd I went to in '01 for some gear, pretty helpful n stuff. IIRC the place is called Ski Frenzy and its a small shop premises on the side of Fairfield Rd between the Fairfield Shopping Centre and Dutton Park.

Go to DFO (the shopping centre near the airport) and there they have the Kathmandu factory outlet. Generally about $20 cheaper than the place in the vally.

Buy in Canberra on your way through to Cooma.
Decent places at Belconin just over the road from the shopping centre. Also hire gear in Canberra don't buy. So much cheaper and better gear in Canberra than there is in Jindabyne or up on the mountains. |

I used to live in Cooma. I'd say the best place to get ski gear there is Rhythm. It's on your LHS just before your pass Macca's.

I've always got my stuff from snow recycle at Keperra. Good pricing, lots of gear.

They're on Dallas Parade.
You take Dawson Parade off Samford road, then take the left before the railway line - Kane street and then a zig zag and you're there. |
