Ok maybe i'll take back the scoring bit (like i mean't it anyway). Japan and Australia will be close, croatia will come out second.

The poms arent going anywhere. They have a really strong squad, I reckon they have a decent chance of winning.

I decided to actually check....

Third Place:
Date Match Location
Saturday 9 June 2001 Australia 1, Brazil 0 Ulsan, Korea

*shrug*

They have beaten them before they can do it again. They beat Uragay, and Uragay drew with Brazil twice in the prelims for this world cup .... *shrug*

So ... when are you denouncing your religion ?

I would take part in a biggest pussy in soccer competition where we tip the biggest dandy in the cup and then tally the number of f***** dives each nancy player takes throughout the comp. I guess it would be unfair on countries that will get knocked out in the first round since they wont play many games so I guess youll have to divide all the australian team's players by one since they are getting their choking arses knocked out first round.

That was an understrength Brazillian side if I remember correctly. Playing a full strength Brazil in the world cup is a completely different story.

We'll still win though.

To qualify for stage 3, Brazil are $1.05, Croatia $1.90, Australia $3.00 and Japan $3.50.

Thats with sportsbet, anyway.

I had heard that a lot of people were thinking Australia had a good chance after drawing with Holland.

When Brazil plays a soccer Juggernaut like Australia (in a friendly), do you they put on their A team?

my work is running a tipping comp i just flip a coin to see who will win, as with my sports knoweldge making an educated guess would probably end in the same result.

Australia will beat both Croatia and Japan and will draw against Brazil. Overall Brazil will come first out of our pool on goals scored.

Personally I don't think Australia will win any of their games, a draw versus Japan might be possible. But I believe Croatia and Brazil will be far too strong.

ITALIA!!!

I've gone for Italia for as long as I can remember, would tear me apart for them to play against Australia. However, I don't see them playing each other. IF they did?... Probably go for Australia.

My guess is Brazil to win or draw all 3 games. Australia to beat Japan, Croatia to beat Australia and Japan to beat Croatia. Then it comes down to who can manage a draw against Brazil and/or goal difference. (Thinking about what Billy said to me last night, I think we'll beat Japan because we'll hack them down too much and get a bad rep.)

Japan aren't that good. Apart from last world cup when they had a massive home country advantage (as did South Korea who got much further than anyone expected with Aussie Guus at the helm) they haven't been all that good. However they are much faster than us, that's why we'll have to use strength and size to beat them and it won't look all that good.

No, but I've never put that much stock in the Confederations cup anyway. Countries aren't always able to put their best team on the park and I sometimes wonder how seriously the best players take it.

Just in case anyone else was watching the AFL, Aker just kicked what would have been a great soccer goal off the ground from close to the boundary line. Therefore it is clear that Aker would be 1 million or possibly billion times better at soccer than Johns.

But Johns would spear tackle Acker making him unconscious allowing johns to stroll to world up glory. Rugbyleaguewordup
