6600 vs. x800

witch is better? i was going to get the gto2 saphire. and mod it too 16 pipes. with is $280. or i could go a little cheaper and get 6600 not sure witch one tho, there are heaps of them. for that price range whats everyone got??

are you talking AGP or PCI? I think the ATI GTO is better but im not sure what the GTO 2 is

yeah but you know how confusing this crap has been lately ... you get the 6800gt, 6800 gtx and then came the 6800xt which was worse than the gut if you did something it was as good as something bla bla ... why cant they make this stuf simpler

i got a x800GTO in agp, cost me ~280$ afaik, its just an unlock and slight overclock away from a x800XL, it does beat the 6600GT hands down though.

yeah.. just looked up umart and seen the 7600gt are around the same price.. everyhting looks the same.. but i spose it just personal preffence

my 7800gtx seems to work fine, never have problems :) bit of a shame I bought it when they came out :(

NVidia for decent software/drivers - Ati for visual quality. If you do go for an Ati be sure to buy a decent brand. Some cheaper brands have issues with Catalyst updates - ie Gexcube.

I'm saving my bikkies for a NVidia 7800-based card to replace my 6600GT

well apparently the best value at the moment seems to be 7900gt if im not correct but id hardly call $500 good value lol

I just purchased an ASUS 7900GT. OMFG awesome. Upgrading mobo tomorrow to SLI mmm.
