Yeah, you've got to go back pretty regularly and it's pretty expensive (about $150 a session I think). A bit of a downside but some things u have to do properly.

We fix the IPL's at work. They work by causing a small xenon tube to flash with very high wattages. I'm not sure of their specific rating, but I'll tell you we tested one on a navy blue blazer, and a single flash turned the fabric a very light yellow. I wouldn't want to use them on my skin, the flash tubes require refrigerated cooling.
