I'm look for buy an old motorbike engine engine for a dirt go kart im buuilding. 2 stroke if its got gears, it not 4 stroke for the torque. Don't want anything new cos its just a backyard banger.

Wreckers are hopeless. You ring and ask for something old that runs, not looking to spend alot, the answer is always, no probs, got a just reco'd 250, $1100.

Anyone got anything in the shed that runs and you want to get rid of?

2 stroke would be the winner, much much simpler and easier to rebuild if you kill it and decide to crack it open and have a go at some repairs.
