How cool!
Hollywood's Warner Bros studios says it has sealed a deal with file sharer BitTorrent
Starting in the middle of this year, more than 200 Warner movies and television shows will be offered for sale on the BitTorrent website.
Available titles will include Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, the 1973 classic Dog Day Afternoon, Natural Born Killers and the 1970 television show Dukes of Hazzard.

I like this bit
Under the new deal, the estimated 65 million BitTorrent users will be able to download video-on-demand or for-sale movies and shows onto their computers, but will not be able to copy the files to another computer or burn them onto a DVD.

Yeah right...

hmm interesting, i wonder what format and filesizes they're going to be in.

/edit: now that i think about it, it'll most likely be wmv because it'll be easy for them to implement DRM.

also, not sure if people noticed, but the mistake they made in that article is that you can't do a deal with bit torrent, bit torrent is a protocol, not an entity... my guess is they did a deal with Bram Cohen to use the offical bit torrent website.

it certainly appears to be an entity as well, if you go to the site you can see the trademark and incorporated text everywhere

That site has defiantely changed a lot since the last time i was there, im sure it used to have a picture of Bram Cohen on the page and a paragraph explaining the technology and asking for donations + a link to the official client which always sucked but i'd laugh if they kept the donation link there once they start selling movies.
