Haven't seen any threads about it yet so here goes:

It kicked ass. A serious amount of ass. Kicked it all over the place. It's a documentary about a block party (rap concert) Dave Chappelle hosted in Brooklyn NY. It's not really a comedy though there are some f***ing hilarious parts in it. There's a lot of music, so if you're not into hip hop I'd advise not going.

Mos Def and Dead Prez were the best artists imo. Followed closely by the Fugees, Lauryn Hill sang Killing Me Softly and it was awesome. Talib Kweli did Get By which is one of my favourite hip hop songs. Kanye's track was pretty good. The Roots were cool as well, man their drummer is a machine.

So, see this movie if you like quality hip hop and think Dave Chappelle is funny. Don't see this movie if you're expecting a comedy, cause it's more doco than comedy but still very funny in parts.

It's also showing at the Dendy. I thought it was pretty rad and I'm not a huge hip hop fan or anything. Good stuff

Yeah, its just what they got filmed before dave went walkabout. And if what I read on the intarwebs is true (and we all know it is) then dave is extremely pissed at comedy central for considering showing the unfinished season 3 stuff and won't ever go back to the show if they air the unfinished junk.

saw it a couple weeks ago, good flick
