Hi all, just got my first tattoo and wanted a few other opinions. I think it looks great but i'd like to see what other people think. I got it done at sin city tattoo at capalaba, cost me $200 and took about 45 mins

Gauging how good a tattoo looks should always be done after it's near-permanently etched into your flesh.
Looks good but. |

yeah i'll be taking some more pics once its healed properly. Oz the pain wasnt unbearable but was a little more harsh than i though :P i'd describe it like someone scratching your skin with a screw driver, though the filling in wasnt that bad was more like a numbing vibrating feeling.

no one will be able to see mine mate :) thats why i got it on my back, its reserved for people i feel comfortable enough to take my shirt off infront of. fair enough. At least its not an arm band. Sick of seeing pasty white guys with hardcore-bands after watching xXx or Blade trilogy. They always make certain the sharp bits from the bottom of the tat are visible and poke out of their sleeves signifying their inability to accomodate their super hardcoreness in mere man-clothes. thier garments consist of XXS pastel colour polo shirt's, with its collar most definentally up. sporting their new ultra gay f***ed up hair cut, emo studded belt, super tight spermicidal fag jeans and sweat bands on thier arms so they look like they break dance too and have street cred'. fags. - you all know it. last edited by lmnt at 22:54:41 08/May/06 |

lol nah, i just ate, P.S i'm not that big now.. but i've gone from 54kgs when on chemo to 72.5ish now, protein, whether it be in the form of shakes or good food, and consistent weight training, you may be a hard gainer but that just means you need to work a little harder. |

if you're not training on a 6 day cycle you're probably not working hard enough
increase your protein intake and change your workout to this Training Cycle for Beginners Day 1: Chest & Triceps Day 2: Back & Biceps Day 3: Legs Day 4: Shoulders, Traps, Abs & Calves Day 5: Off Day 6: Repeat cycle Notes: For each body part, shoot for 9 total sets, 8 to 10 reps per set. Performing fewer than 6 reps builds mostly strength, and performing more than 12 prevents you from using heavier weights. So the safe range is 8 to 10. For the first exercise of each workout, do 2 additional warm-up sets of 12 to 15 reps using a lighter weight. That helps get the body ready to work out while helping to prevent injuries. Day 1 Working Sets (sets x reps) Barbell Bench Press 3 x 8-10 Incline Barbell Bench Press* 3 x 8-10 Flat Bench Dumbbell Flyes 3 x 8-10 Close-Grip Bench Presses 3 x 8-10 Lying Cambered Bar Extensions 3 x 8-10 Straight Bar Cable Pushdowns 3 x 8-10 * Every other workout, alternate Incline Barbell Bench Presses with Incline Dumbbell Presses. Day 2* Working Sets (sets x reps) Pulldowns or Wide-Grip Pull-Ups 3 x 8-10 Low Cable Rows 3 x 8-10 Dumbbell Rows or Bent-Over Barbell Rows 3 x 8-10 Standing Barbell Curls 3 x 8-10 Alternating Dumbbell Curls** 3 x 8-10 * Since Low Cable Rows, Dubbell Rows and Bent-Over Barbell Rows work a lot of the biceps, you don't need a lot of additional biceps work. In fact, doing too many sets for biceps after a good back workout could case your biceps to become overworked, which will prevent them from growing. ** Dumbbell Curls can be done either standing or seated. Alternate from week to week between the two. Day 3 Working Sets (sets x reps) Leg Extensions 3 x 8-10 Squats 4 x 8-10 Stiff-Legged Dead Lifts or Lying Leg Curls 3 x 8-10 Day 4 Working Sets (sets x reps) Seated Dumbbell Overhead Presses or Barbell Military Presses 3 x 8-10 Seated Dumbbell Lateral Raises 3 x 8-10 Bent-Over Rear Lateral Raises or Reverse Pec-Deck Lateral Raises 3 x 8-10 Barbell Shrugs 3 x 8-10 Seated Calf Raises 3 x 8-12 Standing Calf Raises 3 x 8-12 Ab crunches on a bench 3 x 12-15 Hanging Leg Raises (knees bent) 3 x 12-15 |

Fella i've been "dating" for a month or so asked me the other night if i wanted to see his tat. "sure, why not" i said. He showed me and it said "natalie" on it. I'm like... who is natalie? thinking the poor dude has got the name of an ex tattoed on his chest. MY DAUGHER he confesses rather sheepishly.
Now that certainly is one rather lame way to break it to a girl that you've got a daughter if you ask me. you'd think he would have mentioned something earlier. I wouldn;t have cared if he of said something straight up but keepin quite about something that big is a bit naughty. That's my tattoo story seeing as i have none myself. wouldn;t mind getting one though. ooh lah lah. :) |

also Maverick - holy crap 9 sets per muscle group? thats insane. i do 3 x 15 for biceps, and im rooted after that (12kg, which is enough after 3 sets!). how do you manage 9? |

nikolas - 9 sets per muscle group is perfect and hes on the money. That said i think your calves and abs are optional for 9 sets as they can be worked more frequently that other muscles.
