They did it with Buffy, Star Gate, Highlander, the Crow, now it looks like were going to be treated to Blade the series. Set to be aired in the states mid year, I'm sitting on the fence of this one until I've viewed a few episodes. The series is set to start Kirk 'Sticky' Jones (Overthere) in the lead role as Blade. As a fan of the 3 movies I hope they don't butcher this the way The Crow, Highlander, Conan, A Nighmare on Elm Street television series were.

The only two series I know of that surpassed their original movies were Buffy the Vampire Slayer (like it or not it eclipsed the movie) and Star Gate.

I thought all vampires were destroyed at the end of Trinity? I supose its like what they did for Highlander, ruining the story line of a classic just to churn out 3 more movies and a series.

Sticky was awesome in The Shield, though I've never much cared for Blade as a comic or movie. Even with the smaller budget, he'll probably do better than Snipes at any rate.

When has story line continuality ever really concerned the producers of these shows? I'm guessing after the movies, IMDB doesn't show anyone playing Whistler and he was with Blade since the beginning.

Blade Trinity was horse s***... Blade 1 and 2 were uber leet. But this series sounds gay with a try hard gangsta as the slayer.

But Blade sucked, they are the most boring movies I have ever seen. Remember kids that is just an opinion, don't confuse them with facts.

Im going to guess, but I think thats the picture of the actor in a movie/role and not him in the role of Blade.
