Hey yall, anyone familiar with some high-ish end notebook drives?

Chasing something around the 100GB 7200RPM Mark.

CA Have a Seagate 100GB @ $325, Umart don't seem to be in the game

best one I can find is a toshiba.

TOSMK1032GAX 100GB 5400RPM HDD 16MB Cache

Ingram Micro & Cellnet don't have any Seagate 7200rpm Notebook harddrives listed on their site. Maybe they aren't in Australia yet or just not readily available.

I'll keep looking.

all i can find is This.
The Hitachi 100GB 7200RPM from AustPC seems the go.

Ive bought a Leadtek LR6550 DTV Pci card from AustPC was well packed and delvered next day after i payed.

I think Achieva are big seagate pimps..

I think Seagate has a nicer tone than hitachi, what do you think ?

Personal prefrence i guess, maybe do some reaserch on witch drive last longer and puts out less heat well thats what id do anyways, also thought seagate bought out hitachi or was that maxtor?

Hitachi had that cool white paper on getting perpedicular. Other than that I haven't heard much about their HDD's
