Well I think its time I grew up, I would of done it a bit sooner. But there was to many good things to miss out on (Summer Field, Derb etc). After nearly a very long year of shall we call it "fun self destruction", I've desided to put my party shoes back on the shoe rack for a rest. I've quit smoking (I quit at the start of the year and had a little hicup). Drugs have been put on extreme hold. Not saying never but one cannot rule out the future, as it could be quite a long one, Alcho has also been cut down. for the last 3 weeks I've been eating, sleeping and treating myself well and I alreay have put on 6+ kilo's and I feel Half a million bucks, still waiting for that bitch to pay up the rest.

I've done the same as you about 5 months ago because I have a baby girl due within the next week (there will be pics posted here :P).. except maybe the drinking part.

Ok JigZie, this isn't directly aimed at you, and I might come across like some cold hearted person but who cares. It pisses me off to no end those people who do s*** they shouldn't do in the first place (drugs, get excessively drunk, smoke a carton a day etc) turn around and say "Hey guys, I'm not gonna do that stuff any more, arn't I great!! I'm so proud of myself and you should be too!"

This is just bulls***. By your choice you were f***ing up your life now you expect kudos for doing the right thing. While were at it, why don't we give pedophiles jobs in primary schools because they did the wrong thing then reformed and said they have changed!

Bad comparison, and maybe if you ever experienced drug addiction or friendship you might understand the benefits of support when you're giving up, i.e. - in a time of need.

Well I've never been stupid enough to do drugs in the first place, if a person choses to do that in the first place they can, I just don't want to know about it. Even my friends know not to discuss that topic around me. The reason I think like this might have something to do with the friend of mine who died on drugs (mentioned a while back), she wanted nothing to do with my trying to help her, and look what happened.

Such is life, you can't expect people to tip-toe around your sensitivities, especially not on QGL. Move forward, focus on the future. Good things can still happen in your life, you don't have to live in the past. And don't feel bad, you can only help those who want to be helped.

Lots of people use recreational drugs and quit for whatever reasons, some keep going. It's not like he was using smack or touching children, so pretty nasty post IMHO.

My post wasn't aimed at him personally so if he gets offended he can PM me and we can discuss it. I don't expect people to tip-toe around my sensitivities gimpy, lets just say I was taking a page out of your book and making my feelings and opinions heard.
