If anyone knows a legit (if that's possible) BMW certified mechanic, please give me the details.

It's an E30, so not a recent model.

I went to All Care Prestige at sumner park for a while but they were freakin con artists, and my more recent mechanic who is legit, just doesnt know enough about bimmers.

my mum takes her 318is e30 there, no complaints what so ever ....

Been there for things like, brakes, suspension arms, water pumps, radiator issues, plugs and leads and not a bad word to say!

I used to use the 'Schwarben Garage' down at the Gold Coast. 'Dunno the number - I just carted my old 5-series down there when needed. It was a personal reference. The guys at the BMW junkyard over at Archerfield are okay. It's funny watching them trying to strip modern imported wrecks. Soz - forget the name.

alternatively, I'd contact 'Dane' at the "Mt Gravatt Mercedes '3 Point Services' service-centre". (He's finishing is apprenticeship very soon - I hear he's moving on). Still - better a Merc tech than your average mechanic. Yeah I know that "BMW are teh enemy" from the Merc point of view, but we're talking about a standard you just don't see in most cars today. 'Come the next Beemer I'll put my trust into Dane over all others.

Yeah but they cost a fortune Skitza.
yeah, but you get to use their customer lounge with salad bar and television. (I assume they have one, merc has a thing like airline lounges, its pretty f***ing amazing)

I'm not sure I'd spend an extra $100 for salad and TV.

They would also only use genuine BMW replacement parts for EVERYTHING which also cost a mint.

i suggest replacing genuine BMW parts with whatever you can find at the wreckers, the car will be fixed good as new and you're supporting local industry

Yeah they are expensive but what did you expect ? You have a BMW, that means you are able to pay for repairs, pretty simple. Bend over and take it mate, cause wherever you go, you are probably going to get reamed. It's one of the perks of having this kind of /sarcasm awesome expensive vehicle /sarcasm, it's all in the badge, live with it or get a different car :) or just keep looking for someone cheaper but it's going to be hard.

Also the free biscuits and tea in the showroom is quite nice, air conditioned and nice chairs, really you should go and get your money's worth :)
