A 21-year-old American online gaming fan broadcast his suicide on a Bulgarian internet forum.

Named as Mitchell S., the gamer switched on his web cam and swallowed a large amount of motor antifreeze and pills after complaining about family problems and a lack of money, forum administrator Boyan Georgiev told Bulgaria's BGNES news agency on Wednesday.

The thing about news is they get their reaction, then bury a retraction where no one will see it. I mean who of the "mainstream" audience will find the real story?
I saw it on www.Digg.com and then came to qgl and noticed the discrepancies in headlines :), there is no way i would have seen that by looking at the front page of news.com.au or whatever.

I was only posting on the information i read from news.com.au . Should be interesting to see how fast the story gets changed on those sites (if at all).

plenty in the media still say that Bush served Plastic Turkey when in Iraq for thanksgiving 3 years ago... They won't fix the story, specially if fixing it doesn't help their agenda, which in this case is "gamers bad".

yeah pretty irrelevant that he's a gamer? it's not like he killed himself over a game ... why not "every day society person just like you and me suicides on webcam"
