Got a mate who works for a web design company that is looking for someone who is pretty profecient in PHP, HTML/CSS with (hopefully) some audio/video editing skills. Salary is negotiable depending on how well you fit criteria.

Unless the linky is all broken, there's nothing in that ad that would remotely suggest you needing to have PHP skills.

In fact, about the only thing the ad is good for is raising my score on IT Wank Bingo.

Yeah you're prolly right - i mis-understood - they do a fair bit of php programming but thats not the crux of what they're after.

Heres a bit of clarification:

Audio skills:
- mostly for podcasts
- basic audio edit, familiarity with mixing deck, etc.

Video skills:
- video to be part of websites
- We'll be planning it, shooting it, editing it, and exporting in whatever formats are most suitable.

HTML/CSS skills:
- This is a no-brainer. Ideally you can put together a decent site without relying on table-based layout.

PHP skills:
- cos we do some more advanced stuff with websites too
- content management systems, shopping cart software, currency conversion, custom applications
- ranges from simple to advanced, depends what projects we have one today.

PHP is probably the least important skill actually, because we already have a coder. He's just swamped, but if you can do the other stuff, that fixes the problem too.

When we create websites, we find that we generally wind up writing the copy for the site ourselves, as the client either doesn't supply, or doesn't supply of a decent standard. So your writing skills must be decent.

We do a fair bit with adwords/adsense too, so if you have experience with these systems, thats advantageous.
