Sumea has been covering this pretty extensively for the last couple of days - Ratbag Studios, an Austrailan games developer (bought out by Midway only five months ago) has been shut down. More information - sad news!

Did they ever end up making any good games after Powerslide? I remember they made a another racing game that was boring although I think it sold well in the US.

Powerslide was such an awesome multiplayer game.

They made Dirt Track Racing, some sequels to that and recently finished a sequel to PS called Powerslide Slipstream. It was for PC and consoles, but they couldn't find a publisher.

Yeah, Dirt Track Racing was horrible. How many times can you have fun driving around an oval track...over and over and over.

thats sad news. Its never good to see local developers getting dumped like that. I really liked power slide and didnt mind dirt track racing either. Then again, I'm easy to please :)

so where can I get this powerslide game?

It's quite old now. They may have it at K-mart or one of the big games shops.

My friend works for Ratbag Studios. Told me that they were under contract to work a further 3 years there. They were shafted by Midway indeed. Ratbag Studios is in Adelaide.
