So I've finally managed to break mine.. so does anyone know if these things can be replaceable or do I need to buy a new mobo or cpu (whichever comes with the plastic bit)

Plstic bit = rectangular black bit that slots into the motherboard which then has the standard P4 heat sink/fan connected to it.

But stock is no fun Rev.

Or you could buy this, Ticman and you won't need to look near the cpu again except to oggle at it's greatness and appreciate the silentness.

Seven, looking at that, it comes with its own replacement bracket anyway.

Edit: oh, thats for using it in a athlon board...

I know Rev, but it sure keeps the chip cool. If you want you can clip a 120mm fan to it, but it shouldn't be needed. also lol @ Bah

Funnily enough, it was during the replacement of the stock piece of s*** heatsink that I broke it.

The Zalman one I got uses that standard bracket bit.

Well if you've already got another heatsink it looks like scuzzy's buy is the way to go. Unless someone around you or the forums has a s478 mobo that they don't want?

I wish I hadn't tossed out my dead one, maybe try the OCAU forums for people with dead boards :)
