civil engineeing block at southbank tafe is right next to the side of the convention center where all the cars were driving in, so much chrome wheels :\

and from south brisbane train station you could see in the back of it and they had a dyno out there and i saw a black supra do a dyno run, and an old soarer like tungs was backing onto it when my train came.

the lesson from this post boys and girls is that chrome wheels are the lose.

Chrome wheels work for show purposes.

Ricing purposes are also included.

Is it really a yawn or are you just allowing easier entry for the penis?

are you a tightarse or you only have 2 hours off work the whole time autosalon is running?

im not going because simply looking at stationary plastic cars doesnt really do that much for me,

couple years back i went to the place the ekka is held at and was all sorts of shizzal eg.

monster truck jumping and going hard
crash derby
motocross
holden style drivers
freestyle moto jumps n shizzal
freestyle road moto dude doing awesum shizzal
listening to a hardcore dragster inside a small arse hall
interviews with v8 supercar drivers
real race cars on show

now that was a show worth going to

i went today

was finished looking at everything after the first hour or so, then i wanted to go home, and the ppl i went with.. i dont know how they can spend so much time looking at cars, and clothed chicks (seen better quality chicks at the coast for free)

anyway, i was dragged around for another 4hrs having my ears damaged and becoming really bored

There was one cool thing i got to see:

http://def.net.au/Jem/classic.jpg

all in all
-cars dont really interest me
-looking at but not touching (intimately) chicks doesnt really interest me
-i hate chrome rims (mainly the really fat ones, 3-5 Thin spoke ones occasionally look okay)
-im driving seperately for now on

oh, and i dont drive a festiva anymore, i ended up selling that and moving on to the bmw, then i got bored of that after a few days and got a nice honda accord. and dad paid for everything

Not bad all in all, went to see my friends do their dancing on stage, those outfits they wore, were saucy! And Erina was damn fine!

Other than that, wasn't really impressed with all the shine, came to see some trade stands at the event, but i only found one worth any interest at all, pretty piss poor effort in that department in my opinion.

Distinct lack of quality cars, lamborghini looked menacing, mustang looked very well restored, magna was a serious piece of work as was the s2000 and nsx. Loved the nsx :)

Unfortunately came too late to see any dyno runs as well :(

Not worth $18 though...i hope its better next year.

Has anyone made an entire car that was chrome yet?! I was thinking about that the other day for some crazy reason.

trog - it wouldn't be legal.

As far as I know, if your car isn't made before XX years you aren't allowed to put anything non-factory chrome on your car (including guages etc).

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with chrome being too reflective for sun and blinding other drivers (well a full chrome car would :P)

Trog: Look at the S15 they had in the autosalon on the GC, most of the engine bay was gold plated! I'd say that goes one better than chrome....

Long story short...my sig keeps changing to other people's sig due to the incompetence of this forum, and no admin is willing to get off his ass to fix it.

Talking of admins,

Has anyone made an entire car that was chrome yet?! I was thinking about that the other day for some crazy reason.

They made these ones especially for you pleasurable viewing, trog:
