you guys heard about this? if not heres a small run down in what is going on...

Jack Thompson, a lawyer (i think), offered to donate 10k to charity if someone made his game which was based on players urinate on peoples brains and murder kids who work at game stores. a couple of companys called his bluff and said they would make it, along with some modding groups. he then went on to say he was only kidding and that he isn't going to pay the 10k he said he would.

penny arcade (who have been making fun of jack a bit which i love) have reciently donated $10,000 in his name to the Entertainment Software Association Foundation since jack wouldn't. apparantly jack calls this criminal harrasment and has tried to get the police department to arrest the 2.

what i loved most about this however is jack writing to penny arcade trying to hide his tracks with an email.

This story is completely false and defamatory. Take it down or else.

one to blame the light bulb for him having no life.
one to appear in national television, offering $1,000,000 for any electrician to change his light bulb.
one to refuse to pay the electrician.
one to explain to the whole world that the $1,000,000 thing was a joke.
one to sue the electrician for touching his light bulb
and one to send me an email, asking me to take down this joke or get sued.

Hehe yeah i've been following this little drama for a while now and have derived great joy at all the stages of it unfolding.

Thankfully Jack Thompson is such an, and I quote "Incompetant blowhard" that he is making anti gaming nuts everywhere look more and more like the extremist looneys they are.
