Well I go to watch an .avi file today and it has no sound... everything else works, mp3 playback, .wmv in mediaplayer has sound, .mpg has sound.
It is definately not muted in the player or anything. I cannot find any option that would mute or disable it... Tried reinstalling MP10, divx codec and the allin1 codec pack I have been using. Nothing :/ Anyone got any ideas? |

You have to install all audio codecs. There is ones like ac3 filter, i think its called. That always worked for me. go to www.freecodecs.com and download all the audio decoders and see if that helps.

Yes I am positive mute is not on, as all other formats will play with sound fine.
Unless there is some specific divx or Xvid sound setting hiding somewhere I can't find. |

Klite codec pack.
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/KLite_Mega_Codec_Pack/1080441198/1 Also, try GSpot. It should tell you what type of audio the file is looking for. If that fails there is another media codec tool called VideoInspector that seems pretty good. GSpot http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/GSpot/1088774248/1 VideoInspector http://www.free-codecs.com/download/VideoInspector.htm |
