Sup ya'll

I bought a 120 gig Sata Hdd last saturday from Umart. Now I got a few errors when installing, but i tried it a few more times and it worked. Now today ive reinstalled xp about 4 or 5 times and keep getting errors about corrupt files and stuff. SO ive gone to fix the installs and i keep getting an error saying the disk is damaged.

So ive decided that it is well and truely stuffed, so im going to take it back to Umart. What will happen? Will they send it away, or will i be issued with a new hdd? Cheers

with in 7 days they just swap it, anything after that, they send it off to manufacturer and wait for a replacement

if its within a week old they should replace it straight away.

best thing to do, is run a hdd test on it and print it out if you can. and then go to them.

considering they're one of the top 3 stores in Qld you should expect to have it swapped out within 30mins of taking it back. if their techroom is hammered then I 'spose it's fair enough that it could take a little while.

taking the drive in 20mins before closing time would prolly lead to a result you wouldn't be happy with

Id love to run a hdd test on it, but its sata, and the only sata machine in the house. Im rather annoyed that its only a week hold hdd and its f***ed already. I think i should be demanding a replacement one on the spot!

Oh damn.

A guy bought a rw dvd drive from gamedude which stopped working, he took it back they asked for a reciept and he pulls out a book of reciepts (~$20k worth according to him) trying to impress them, the guy says ok we'll check it out and get back to you.
Weeks later no drive he goes in starts swearing and they give him a new drive.

Gamedude comes into the thread says it never happened as there was no one working there with a ponytail (customer said he was served by a guy with ponytail).

Thats a synopsis from memory, loses a lot in translation i guess.

IF your product is faulty and its under warranty, you are entitled to a refund or a replacement Eds. Who cares what they think, the customer is the one who is paying there wages. Having worked alot with customers, to many people forget the customer comes first, they are the one who should be looked after first. Anyone shoudl be able to go into Umart and present the faulty product and have it replaced or refunded.

Would you rather be courteous to your customer and keep them or spend thousands of dollars a year on advertising to get them back? That is where Umart has got it all wrong.

At the time of the incident Gamedude said he didnt have a ponytail, and had cut it off months earlier.

Of course it can be replaced or refunded, but it doesnt have to be on the spot. I dont know if youv ever worked for yourself, but let me tell you, people who dont buy much and then come back demanding s*** and being openly hostile is not a fun thing. Quite frankly , I dont care about their business because I dont need the hassle of rude f***wit c***s.

Im sure the people at Umart would be a lot nicer and treat smart better if he didnt go in there like a fat bitch from jenny craig at a donut shop.
You completely took everything I said the wrong way, and now you look stupid.
