What do you guys reckon? I reckon they are pretty good but I use my own special hot sauce to get the real spice happening.

Also I finally got Kaygen's name when buying them. Kaygen - Cajun :D

Hahah, squirrel whenever you see adds saying something is really hot, it almost always means mildly warm :D

I rate them about 4/10 on the spicy scale, I have this stuff in my cupboard/fridge called Dragons Blood. Best way to have it is in a shot glass. Rate it at about 9/10. I want to buy some of those nuggets and whip out the dragons blood, only the quality of nuggets is so not worthy of the blood.

What is with spicy food? Why ruin the food with tabasco or hot sauce?

Shouldn't you worry when your food is bland until you put hot sauce on it? Wouldn't that mean you have killed your taste buds?

I don't see why flavouring food with something that is spicy ruins it. If you don't like it then thats fine, but saying that it ruins food is just ignorant.

Nooo, 'hot source' and tabasco are lame. Real chili source has plenty of little molecules in it that is called capsaicin. This happy little fellow binds to some receptors on your taste buds that send off pain sensations to your noggin (the hot feeling I do belive). This couples with your varous food flavours to enhance the meal in a way only capsaicin can.
Noo, chili sources are not used on bland food, they are used in flavour rich foods for extra long lasting goodness..
Perhaps if bland food is cooked in the first place a rethink is needed in the cooking stylz.

Side note: various birds dont have the receptor on their taste buds that capsicin binds to, so they dont get that pain sensation and can easily eat it all.

Side note 2: I do belive capsicin is used in Capsicum spray, it is what gives it that o so hurty feeling.

Ignorant? I have watched a few people sit down and eat a meal which has a lot of flavour and go "Christ, I can't taste a thing, pass me the tabasco"

I have a different opinion to yours, that doesn't make me ignorant

That is differnt, the reason why they want the tabasco source is because of the above, the 'flavour' they are getting is the hot sensation which is seperate to the actual tastes of stuff.
The probable reason why they cant taste the flavours is because they have gotten used to eating heavily flavoured foods and need alot of it just to get it registered in their brain. If they went to eating nothing but plain rice for a couple of weeks, I bet they will taste the littlest of flavours again.

some people like spicey food, some don't. Claiming that hot sauce 'ruin's' the food is ignorant.

You either like spicy food or you don't.

is it ignorance tho or just not being able to accept others for what they are and what satisfies their own culinary expectation? Or is this just another way of sayin yes your ignorant?

the only time anyone should ever be eating maccas is out of pure desperation at the end of a long (long) night drinking

and thats after you've tried New York Slice, Windmills + all those other pizza joints

understand? Good.

You fat, ignorant retards.

A study of tastebuds on peoples tongues was done some time ago (i will edit when i find it) and there are people with many (tens of thousands) and others with only a few (several hundred?).
Those with fewer need much more flavour for it to register than those with many who can taste the most mild of ingredients.
(Xy goes searching for the study)....
*EDIT* Something i found almost straight away but its hardly in depth ... go searching further if you care at all.

Taken from Forum Guidelines.

Don't assume people don't have a point because they've made a typo in their post - saying "omg, u sux becoz u cant spell proper" is the single lamest rebuttle on the Internet and it actually makes you look stupider

"the only time anyone should ever be eating maccas is out of pure desperation... you fat ignorant losers"

maxe - firstly i'd like you to understand peoples differing opinions of desperation. Would it be what a reasonable person would consider desperate, or yourself? I believe a reasonable person would reasonably foresee that you are a complete idiot and probably eat maccas on a more regular basis and certainly more regularly then i could foresee as a purely desperate not to mention convenient meal.

A footlong meatball sub with a large post mix coke and a cookie has more saturated fat and more sugar then a medium big mac meal...

Ok this is my last reply since i no longer consider you to be worthy of an argument.

Persay your the person here who only replies when he has something mean to say. I dont give a f*** about the negative comments you wish to post, keep them to yourself. Also calling someone a fag is a lame rebuttal, maybe you should learn how to debate while your at it as well.

my time is valuable, so i might sum up maxe and persay with one comment;

don't dish it out if you cannot cop it on the chin boys, it's all in good fun.

Furthermore, who f***in died and gave you guys the almighty powers of labelling and judging others, and upon what wealth of life experience and or wisdom?

reality check boys, you now may have google earth, but the real world awaits beyond your computer room.

We use to have to combine 3 bags of stuff to actually make the breading mix....salt,flour and a bag of spices that actually had as the ingrediance "secret herbs and spices".

That's probably fake. KFC would come down on someone attempting to leak it like a ton of bricks rather quickly. Even the biggest big cheese of KFC doesn't know it. And it's prepared at 2 different locations. 1 half each.

That is a very interesting spic mix tho, would be good on some foods.

spicy food is part of my culture, and one i love. my dad does have a problem where he has burnt some of his tastebuds and desensitised them so he doesnt think food is flavourless, its just not quite what he expects unless he puts malaysian roasted chilli sauce on it. tobasco, pfft. this s***s the bomb.

A_W,at first i doubted what you said,so i did a bit of researching on the web (google ftw) and what you say is true (if people were to believe everything they read on the web). This day and age though, you'd have to assume that it is possible to analize the ingrediants, whether it be from a piece of chicken,or they some how got hold of a bag of the spices (pretty easy to do if you work there, although i always use to pinch the chip salt!!).I think the problem anyone who stole the secret recipe and went into the fried chicken market themselves would be trying to start up a business and competing with KFC who are established.

Had some, they're pretty tasty. The sauce was okay, but I was more impressed with the actual nugget coating. Nice and crunchy. I found them to be kinda spicey, I guess. Definitely more spicey than those chilli quarter pounders they brought out a while ago which had absolutely 0 spice whatsoever!
